A look into psychic readings- Medium and Tarot
There are lots of different types of psychic readings and readers. Here we will delve into some to give you a better understanding of what you should expect from a reading and from a psychic. The last thing you want when going to a psychic is to get taken and although there are a few out there who will do this, there are also those who are real, accurate and honest. Below is a look at two different types of readings and the traits and flags you should be looking for.
Medium Readings
Good Readings
A good medium will conduct a session one of two ways. They will ask if you want to contact a specific .spirit, or ask if you want to let spirits come in as they will. Either way the only questions they should be asking are questions of validation. They should tell you why they are asking the question before you are allowed to answer. Most of the time the questions will be regarding names or events the spirit is communicating to the medium. These questions are normal and to be expected. Not all psychics do this but some reputable ones do.
They will also allow you to ask questions of the spirit. Remember, it is easier for a medium to pick up information that the spirit is giving. It is harder for the medium to try to extract information from the spirit. Communication is not like talking with someone in the physical. When spirits come in strong and loud information is recieved easier than when they are more subdued. Then it can be like pulling teeth trying to get information to come through.
Keep in mind that sometimes you may go into a medium session and some things or spirits will not make sense to you. You don't know the spirits, the circumstances of death or the names that are being acknowledged. This doesn't mean your medium is horrible. Even though this is rare but does occur, you have to remember that those spirits with the most need come in the strongest. So even though you may want to speak to Uncle Joe, Damian, who is a friend's uncle's cousin may come in to give his message because his need to communicate is stronger. In cases like this don't get discouraged because you will find that in a short amount of time, the information given makes sense. Spirits are like people and will oftentimes litterally push others out of the way to have their say. This doesn't happen often, but it can happen.
Poor Readings
A medium session in which information given is vague and non-specific is a poor session. Information should be specific and highly detailed. Appearance, manner of death, specific memories and messages should come through only with questions of validation from the medium
A medium session where there are alot of personal questions asked is a poor session.
A session where the medium says they need to light candles, which usually cost a mint, or some that they need to do something else that costs a fortune is a bad session. Run. The cost of a reading should be straight forward.
Tarot Readings
Good Readings
A good Tarot reading is fun and amazing. Good tarot readers work in a variety of ways. They use different spreads, some hold your hands and some have crystal energy aiding them. Whatever way the session is conducted, much like a medium session the information should be detailed and questions should only be asked for validation purposes. Remember that some information or people you are told about you will not recognize yet, as it's a future happening, so hold onto the info and it should make sense in a short period of time.
A good reader will also give you time to ask any questions you need to. Remember this is about clarification of your lifes journey and as such questions from you should be for the most part, unlimited.
Poor Readings
In a poor session the reader will give very vague information, and talk you in circles. They may also change information to fit your circumstances or get you to talk about seemingly everyday occurances all the while getting the information they need from you regarding your circumstances. If this is the case-leave and find another reader. If they offer to light candles or claim to be able to reunite you with a loved one after a split, leave. Not only is this giving a person false hope, it is magickal manipulation of the worst kind and does not belong in this type of session.*** If things are meant to be it will show in the cards.
Notes
Most good readers will ask for their payment at the end of a session. They will also give you a refund if you are not satisfied with the service provided. Having said that, don't expect refunds if the psychic has hit on alot. It wont happen.
Be open to hearing what the psychic says. Some people go into a session with a "prove it" attitude. This gets you nowhere. The psychic isn't there to prove anything to you. She or he is there to provide a service to the best of thier ability. Alot of times, if you are closed off or have that type of attitude, spirits and information will not flow as well. It almost puts up a physical wall between yourself and the otherside. It also is unsettling for the psychic and can put him or her off thier game. I have litterally had spirits walk out on a client because they were so closed off. So enjoy your session, be at ease, nervousness is ok :), and be skeptical. A good healthy skepticism is good but again be open to hearing
Remember that any Tarot reading is good from the point of the reading onward. If things happen as they should, the reading will be completely accurate and no issue. If, however, the psychic says your going on a trip that you need to go on, and you don't go because you just don't want to, well that changes your life path to a certain degree and things will change. Your reading after that decision may be a bit different than the reading you had prior to that decision.
I hope this helps you to differentiate between what is a good psychic and what is a not so good psychic. It's always important to be educated before buying.
****Magick (Pagan spelling) and spells are real and there are reputable practitioners out there. These practitioners will find out all the circumstances from you and make a judgement call as to whether a spell is needed or warranted. Bending anothers will is NOT an ethical practice with most of those who utilize the magickal arts.
